AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — The University of Texas Tower bells will be played to honor victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.
Junior music major Austin Ferguson says he'll perform Tuesday afternoon. The tribute comes a day after the bombings in Boston left at least three people dead and more than 140 hurt.
Ferguson told the Austin American-Statesman (http://bit.ly/ZnsKTv ) that selections will include "Amazing Grace" and "A Mighty Fortress Is Our God."
Ferguson is among the students who perform using the set of 56 bells — formally known as a carillion — that make up the largest musical structure in Texas.
The half-hour concert begins at 1:45 p.m. CDT Tuesday.
