Sendai stops Omiya's unbeaten run with 2-1 winAP , Associated Press

SENDAI, Japan (AP) — Shingo Akamine and Wilson scored in the first half Saturday as Vegalta Sendai put a stop to Omiya Ardija's J-League record 21-match unbeaten run with a 2-1 win.
Zlatan Ljubijankic scored for Omiya in the second half but the visitors couldn't find an equalizer and lost for the first time since August of 2012.
Akamine scored just seven minutes in at Yurtec Stadium, converting a low drive into the box from Koji Hachisuka and beating Omiya goalkeeper Takashi Kitano. Wilson doubled the lead in the final minute of the first half with his fourth goal of the season.
Despite the defeat, Omiya remains top of the standings on 26 points from 11 games, three ahead of Yokohama F Marinos, who closed the gap with a 2-1 win at Nagoya Grampus.
In other matches, Tsukasa Shiotani scored early as champions Sanfrecce Hiroshima beat winless Oita Trinita while Jorge Wagner found the net to lead Kashiwa Reysol 1-0 over Jubilo Iwata.
Kengo Kawamata scored a hat trick to lead Albirex Niigata to a 3-1 win over Sagan Tosu. Yoshito Okubo scored two goals in the last 17 minutes as Kawasaki Frontale earned a 2-2 draw with Cerezo Osaka.
Lee Ki-je and Bare scored as Shimizu S-Pulse beat Ventforet Kofu 2-0. Ryota Nagaki scored the winner as Shonan Bellmare edged FC Tokyo 3-2.
Daisuke Nasu, Tsukasa Umesaki and Shinzo Kuroki scored in the second half to lead Urawa Reds to a 3-1 win over Kashima Antlers.
