BOSTON (AP) — U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren is helping fellow Democrat Katherine Clark kick off her final get-out-the-vote drive before next week's special election in the state's 5th Congressional District.
Warren is joining Clark for an afternoon rally at Framingham State University on Wednesday.
The Melrose state representative is facing off against Republican Frank Addivinola, a Boston attorney. They are seeking to fill the House seat left vacant by Edward Markey's election to the U.S. Senate this summer.
The special election is Tuesday.
Two other candidates are on the ballot — Wellesley resident James Aulenti and Arlington resident James Hall.
Massachusetts currently has an all-Democratic congressional delegation. The 5th District is considered one of the most heavily Democratic in the state.
Whoever wins Tuesday's runoff will face re-election next year.
