WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) — A 21-year-old Princeton man charged with fatally stabbing another man at a party earlier this year has pleaded not guilty.
Jay S. Anderson was ordered held without bail at his arraignment Wednesday morning in Worcester Superior Court.
Prosecutors say Anderson stabbed 20-year-old Boris Velez II in the neck during a fight at a party on Feb. 2.
Velez died three days later at a Worcester hospital.
A Worcester County grand jury handed up a murder indictment against him March 15.
Anderson's lawyer tells The Telegram & Gazette (http://bit.ly/YUA3BZ ) that his client maintains his innocence.
