FALMOUTH, Mass. (AP) — A Massachusetts state trooper reportedly driving erratically in Bourne earlier this week has pleaded not guilty to drunken driving charges.
Robert Gilmore was released on personal recognizance after his arraignment Tuesday in Falmouth District Court.
The 38-year-old Gilmore, a 14-year department veteran, was on medical leave for an injured knee when he was pulled over Monday in Bourne after town police received reports of an erratic driver and a woman called to say someone was trying to run her off the road.
His attorney refused comment.
A state police spokesman tells the Cape Cod Times (http://bit.ly/10eyW2C ) that a hearing is scheduled for Wednesday to determine whether Gilmore will be suspended from duty.
