COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — A late goal by Tim Cahill and a penalty save gave New York at 1-0 win at Columbus in Sunday's MLS action.
Cahill headed a rebound in the 80th minute after Crew goalkeeper Andy Gruenebaum made the initial save off a shot by Jonathan Steele.
His third goal of the season came seven minutes after New York goalie Luis Robles went to his right to stop Federico Higuain's penalty, giving the Red Bulls their third-straight win.
It was the first time in 13 games that Columbus had lost at home.
SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES 2, MONTREAL IMPACT 2
Sam Cronin scored in the first minute of second-half stoppage time to give San Jose a home draw against Montreal.
Justin Mapp scored in the 24th and 47th minute to give Montreal a 2-0 lead, but San Jose rookie Adam Jahn got one back in the 59th.
Cronin took one touch off a knockdown header from Chris Wondolowski and lashed a shot home from 20 yards for his first goal of the season.
San Jose is winless in six games.
PHILADELPHIA UNION 2, SEATTLE SOUNDERS 2
Mauro Rosales scored in the 64th minute to give Seattle a draw on the road against Philadelphia.
Danny Cruz scored twice for the Union, who remained undefeated at home.
After Rosales got the equalizer for Seattle, tempers began to fray. Seattle's Lamar Neagle and Philadelphia's Sheanon Williams were both shown red cards in the 85th minute following a scuffle.
Five minutes later, Seattle's DeAndre Yedlin was also sent off.
REAL SALT LAKE 2, VANCOUVER WHITECAPS 0
Luis Gil ended a scoring drought with a header just minutes into the second half and Javier Morales also scored to lead Real Salt Lake over Vancouver.
Salt Lake played without its top three forwards as Alvaro Saborio, Robbie Findley and Olmes Garcia all were sidelined because of injuries.
The Whitecaps' winless streak reached seven games.

Edson Buddle scored in the 86th minute to lift Colorado over Toronto.
