AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) — The wife of a man who died when a house he was working on in Albion collapsed on him has filed a lawsuit against the company doing the work.
Cynthia Rodriques, representing the estate of Robert Rodriques Jr., is seeking unspecified damages in the lawsuit filed Kennebec County Superior Court against Linwood Stover, owner of Kennebec Home Improvements.
Robert Rodriques, a father of five, died in May when the camp he was working on slid off its supports and crushed him.
Stover was injured.
Cynthia Rodrigues' lawyer tells the Kennebec Journal (http://bit.ly/13sBFGg ) the death was "a tragedy that didn't have to happen."
The suit seeks money for damages, medical and hospital care, funeral expenses, and loss of companionship.
Stover's lawyer says the suit has been forwarded to his insurance company.
