PITTSFIELD, Mass. (AP) — A Pittsfield man charged with making a bomb threat and starting at a fire at the resort where he worked as a security guard is close to a plea deal.
Authorities say 24-year-old Miles Arnspiger passed a note to police in May 2012 that contained a bomb threat targeting Canyon Ranch in Lenox. Police say Arnspiger wrote the note.
About three months later, he allegedly set a small fire in a shed on resort property.
No one was injured in either incident.
The Berkshire Eagle (http://bit.ly/1dasVJP ) reports that Arnspiger is scheduled to go to trial next month, but his attorney and prosecutors say they are working on a resolution in the case before it starts.
Arnspiger has pleaded not guilty to felony burning a building and making a bomb threat.
