NORTH ADAMS, Mass. (AP) — Two Pittsfield men have been arrested following a North Adams barroom brawl involving dozens and leading to two stabbings.
The North Adams Transcript reports (http://bit.ly/1bHEZgq ) that the bar's liquor license was suspended after the Saturday morning melee.
Police say between 20 and 30 people were involved in the fight at the Artery Lounge.
The names of those who were injured have not been released.
Police say Messiah Grandson was arrested and will be charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and armed assault with intent to murder.
Brandon Green also was arrested and a third suspect is being sought.
Both men were held on bail and it was not known Sunday if they are represented by lawyers.
No one answered the phone at the Artery Lounge on Sunday.
Mayor Richard Alcombright sought an emergency meeting of the city's License Commission on Saturday as a result of the brawl. The board voted to immediately suspend the liquor license, he said.
"In my mind, enough's enough," Alcombright said. "When you're dealing with something like this, public safety comes to mind of course, but so does the safety of police officers and patrons up in that area."
According to Cozzaglio, the listed owners of the Artery Lounge are Daniel O'Neil, and his father, Bernard.
