PRAGUE, Czech Republic (AP) _ Former Czech Vice Premier and chairman of the opposition Christian Democratic Party Josef Lux died Monday from complications after a bone-marrow transplant, the news agency CTK reported. Lux, 43, who suffered from chronic leukemia, resigned from his position of party chairman and parliamentary faction leader in September 1998. He died in a Seattle hospital where he had undergone a bone-marrow transplant in September. His condition dramatically worsened on Nov. 7 when he developed pneumonia and serious respiratory problems.
