NEW YORK (AP) _ New York baseball fans got a boost at the beginning of World Series' sixth game when a man parachuted onto the field between the pitcher's mound and first base with a large sign proclaiming ''Let's Go Mets.'' The incident occurred in the first inning while the Boston Red Sox were at bat. The game was scoreless at the time, but Boston went ahead that inning, 1-0. The parachutist, Michael Sergio, 37, was arrested on charges of reckless endangerment and criminal trespass, said Sgt. Raymond O'Donnell, a police spokesman. Sergio, a musician, was ''not saying why he did it, or how or where he came from,'' O'Donnell said. The Mets won the game in 10 innings, 6-5. © The Associated Press. All rights reserved.
